Hi, this is my first entry of the semester,
sorry if I’m a little out of training, but let’s start.
Well, I have never love journalism and I’ve
been saying it since the first year, I’m not in love with my career and I don’t
feel any anxious for working as a journalist, but there are some topics that I
do like. Some teachers taught me a lot of things and made me grow in different
ways.
One of those topics is non-sexist
communication. An optional subject on ICEI where you can learn how to communicate
using an inclusive and feminist language, how to show stories and news in a different
way, being careful on how we talk about gender, bodies, violence and diversity.
The teacher, Cristian Cabello, taught us how to
problematize and find sexist symbols on television, movies, newspaper and even
in our lives, with our families and friends. We read a lot of books, analyzed
different news and television shows. I think that subject is important in our career,
because as journalists we need to be able to communicate in an inclusive way,
avoiding to reproduce the sexist patterns installed in our society.
This is why I think this subject needs to be
obligatory, because every journalist and movie maker needs to be aware of the
sexism in this society and needs to be able too, to fight against it.
One of the books that we read on the course, written by Fabi Tron and Valeria Flores

Hi, little.
ResponderEliminarI like it. All. When you show me your feminist face. We have to teach everything again and build new places, discussions, themes, you know, for the rights of women. It's an eternal fight but it's worth it for you, for your and my mom, your sister, your nieces...
Greetings, I await your corrections.
